Installation Instructions

IMPORTANT: Safety gloves must be worn when installing Emerald luminaires to protect from sharp edges.

Half-Hour Protection:

1. Cut a 95mm dia hole in the required location in the ceiling tile.
2. Curve the metal strip round as shown in fig. 1 and secure with the self-adhesive tape supplied to form the outer shield.
3. Offer the shield up into the ceiling hole and bend over the tabs as shown in fig. 2 to secure.
4. Fit the luminaire as detailed below.


One Hour Protection:

1. Cut a 95mm dia hole in the required location in the ceiling tile.
2. Offer the stay up through the ceiling hole. Where possible, the stay should be supported on the Tee Grid or a cross beam.
3. Curve the metal strip round as shown in fig. 1 and secure with the self-adhesive tape supplied to form the outer shield.
4. Offer the shield up into the ceiling hole and through the hoop in the stay as shown in fig. 3.
5. Bend the tabs over the stay and onto the back of the ceiling tile to secure.
6. Fit the luminaire as detailed below.


Luminaire Fitting:

All electrical termination must be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with the latest IEE wiring regulations BS7671.
1. Remove the tape backing on the rear of the bezel.
2. Tension both springs to the vertical position and pass the luminaireup into the cut-out.
3. Press the bezel firmly into place to ensure that the tape bonds correctly with the ceiling.
4. Insert the lamp, after first checking the correct wattage and pin configuration.

Replacement Lamps

Osram Dulux T/E Lumilux, Cool White, 18W or 26W.
